Prometheus was the Titan god of forethought and crafty counsel who was given the task of moulding mankind out of clay. For defying the gods multiple times to help men, Zeus ordered the creation of Pandora, eventually arresting Prometheus and binding him to the top of Mount Kaukasus, where an eagle fed on his ever-regenerating liver.
